Tehran is ready to reinitiate nuclear talks with Washington as long as it is treated with "respect" and "honor", Iran's foreign minister has stated.

The Iranian diplomat declared exclusively dialogue worked, and disclosed fresh requests had originated from intermediaries to restart negotiations with the American leadership. He asserted Iran possessed no unreported enrichment locations, and Iran could not yet authorize the International Atomic Energy Agency to visit bombed nuclear sites for protective measures.

Navigating a Challenging Path

The foreign minister is navigating a complex path since Iran wishes not to be perceived to be acting from a stance of vulnerability, and he insisted repeatedly that Iran had arisen more powerful in military terms and psychologically from the Israeli-US attack on its nuclear sites in June.

He was talking at a strategic meeting in Tehran where he restated that Iran had "an inalienable right to refine atomic fuel within its borders that it will always maintain" – the key factor of the stalemate in the earlier negotiations.

Previous Talks Unexpectedly Terminated

The prior phases of discussions between the United States and Iran were concluded unexpectedly and hostile end on 12 June when Israel, with US support, attacked Iranian nuclear sites in a 12-day war that concluded with the US president asserting the sites had been obliterated. Subsequently, European countries employed their privilege to reimpose global restrictions, but Iran insists they have not had a major impact.

Ideal Resolution Suggested

Iranian officials said they felt they had attained a "perfect agreement" to the uranium processing matter in previous talks, when it was agreed an local partnership with US participation could enrich uranium. Each party would have been able to claim victory since domestic enrichment would have persisted and the US could be confident that Iran's nuclear programme was entirely non-military.

It had not been agreed in the talks that American atomic experts could operate within Iranian territory, but that was a natural consequence of the cooperative offer. Representatives asserted three times they had achieved a deal with the US representative Steve Witkoff only for the deal to disintegrate due to "detractors in America".

Present Status

Iran's diplomats stated the partnership proposal was now off the table, but it seems quite possible the proposal could be reintroduced in certain ways if negotiations restart.

The American leader in recent days said he had been obtaining communications that Iran wanted to reopen negotiations, but privately Iranian officials say they are not yet getting clear proposals from the United States either directly or from important Middle Eastern intermediaries, such as Qatar, the Egyptian leadership, Oman and Saudi Arabia. The Tehran's diplomatic corps has been accused of non-responsiveness in the aftermath of Trump's direct instinctive approach, but Tehran says negotiations is not part of a spectacle.

Diplomatic Position

In his address to the conference, aimed to depict the US as a hegemonic power that abuses the concept of international law, the foreign minister said the two-week conflict revealed the dispute could not be ended by military means. He stated the assaults commenced with a US demand for an unconditional Iranian surrender and ended with an absolute demand for a halt to hostilities.

Iran is certain the initial Israeli attacks were executed with total Washington understanding and coordination, making trust difficult to restore.

Dialogue Continues the Ultimate Solution

Araghchi stated: "It was not Iran that had fled negotiations; it was the United States and the Western nations that had always attempted to dictate their demands during the negotiations. Dialogue can still be alive and continues the final resolution to settle disputes, but its criteria, regulations and fundamentals must be followed."

"If they address to the Iranian people with the tone of dignity and honor, they will obtain a reply in the same tone."

Repair and Reconstruction

In what is characterized by Iran's diplomats as the conflict of recovery and rebuilding, the foreign minister claimed he was certain Iran's security strengths "are considerably enhanced than preceding 13 or 14 June of this year. Our entire military infrastructure have been restored. We acquired multiple understandings from this war; we have come to know our own weaknesses and the vulnerabilities of the adversary."

He continued: "We effectively endured this war. Our enrichment knowledge, which they aimed to obliterate, remains in place. The sites and equipment, if damaged, will be reconstructed; what is important is the will of the Iranian people and then the unity of the country that they sought to undermine, but failed to break. The citizens of Tehran have grown stronger, more united, and more backing of the leadership and the country in the aftermath of this invasion."
