Netflix Chooses Spot-On Performer for Bon Clay in One Piece Upcoming Installment

The Secret Organization is poised to exert significant influence in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, even if the real showdown won’t take place until the next season, and a adored, popular member has recently been selected.

The platform declared recently that Cole Escola has joined the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will portray Bentham. Bon Clay can use their power to change into an exact copy of any individual they’ve touched with their right hand. The actor, who is non-binary and goes by they/them, will play a version of that figure re-envisioned as gender non-binary, instead of as a drag artist, in the real-life adaptation, as in the original manga and anime.

Escola is joined by a number of fresh additions who will portray the group to the screen, such as chief Mr. 0, brought to life by the seasoned performer, a talented actress as Miss Goldenweek, and a familiar face, who will appear as the lineup as the monarch of the fictional land.

Though the role is a major member of the organization, the character won’t make their debut One Piece the third season. Given the next season set to cover the Little Garden storyline, this marks a major departure in the schedule of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could signal further changes to the story’s structure.

The actor’s combination of sharp comedic timing and emotional depth makes them a perfect fit for the part. In addition to their current animated role in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and numerous honors for penning and acting in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, showcasing the range they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s most celebrated figures.

The streaming service’s real-life One Piece program is set to return for its next installment on March 10th, 2026.
